The Artist

After spending a couple of years working and traveling through Europe and Australia, Kim Maxwell returned to Canada to study various art forms at the Toronto School of Art, and Sheridan College, including Sculpture, Pottery, and Design. But it was upon returning to what she did as a little girl that she found her true calling and much happiness. Inspired even then by color, beauty, and balance Kim made her first steps in jewellery design by making intricate bracelets for friends and family. Now based near Vancouver B.C., Kim has blossomed into a creatively free, expressionate and self taught designer. Her designs are inspired by the immense natural beauty of British Columbia, the amazing hues of Mother Natures palette & the ever changing beauty of the seasons. Using mostly salvaged copper, and reclaimed silver, Kim has created an exquisite and unique line of environmentally conscious jewellery that not only appeals to those of us that are trying to lessen our impact on our precious planet, but also to those that just simply want nothing more than a one of a kind piece of wearable art.
